A HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE
PEC is a locally-owned rotating equipment distributor firmly rooted in Baton Rouge for nearly 55 years and operated by the Young family. In 1965, the family originally incorporated the business as J.A. Young and Associates on Airline Highway. PEC has represented industrial product manufacturers Ingersoll Rand and Worthington Pumps, which later merged to form Ingersoll Dresser Pumps and are today known as Flowserve Pumps and Mechanical Seals, which includes brands such as Durco, Byron Jackson, Lawrence, Durametallic, and Innomag.
PEC was established in August 1992 in response to the growing need for rotating equipment reliability in the industrial sector. Since then, PEC has expanded its reach as a distributor serving the petrochemical and oil and gas industries across the Gulf Coast region. Today, our company represents industry leading brands in pumps, air compressors, blowers, cooling towers, and epoxy grout. We also have dedicated service teams that preform preventative maintenance repairs and down-time failure analysis and repairs.
Our innovative approach to rotating equipment reliability, combined with our expansive inventory of equipment and parts, allows us to offer state-of-the-art solutions to the global industrial market. PEC is dedicated to continually improving product reliability and safety to meet API and ANSI equipment standards, as well as the ever-changing needs of centrifugal machines in a wide range of industries.
